Ranveer Singh's Befikre got good opening and showed decent jump in its collection at the Indian box office Saturday. Its two-day gross collection has surpassed Rs 30 crore mark in the domestic market.

Befikre had huge amount of hype and publicity before its release and it was released on over 2,100 in the domestic market on 9 December. Having good advance booking, the film registered good occupancy and collected Rs 10.36 crore nett (Rs 14.39 crore gross) at the Indian box office on the first day. It became the 10th biggest Bollywood opener of 2016, beat the record of Udta Punjab (Rs 10.05 crore).

The Aditya Chopra-directed romance drama impressed young audience, while the matured viewers gave it thumbs down. The word of the mouth took its business upwards in the dometic market on Saturday. The most of the viewers, who watched the film on its second day, were young audience, who are apprarently bowled over by the sparkling chemistry betweet Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor.

Befikre is estimated to have collected approximately Rs 11.60 crore nett (Rs 15.96 crore gross) at the Indian box office on Saturday, taking its two-day domestic nett total to Rs 21.96 crore. Its gross has reached Rs 30.35 crore in two days. Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#Befikre has limited growth on Sat... Sun crucial... Fri 10.36 cr, Sat 11.60 cr. Total: ₹ 21.96 cr [2100 screens]. India biz."

Early trends shows that the movie has witnessed further growth on Sunday and it is set for record breaking collection in the opening weekend.

Befikre has been produced and distributed by Aditya Chopra under his banner Yash Raj Films. The movie has been made with a whopping budget of Rs 55 crore and the producer has shelled out a hefty sum of Rs 15 crore on its promotion. Its total cost is Rs 70 crore and the movie has recoved most of this amount of from the sale of its satellight, music, DVD and digital rights. It is set to be a hit venture for Aditya.
