Things are getting closer in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2016 as we are in the middle of the group stages, and teams have settled in, playing some wonderful cricket. With most of the teams having understood their strengths, some quality cricket is also expected on Monday.

Dhaka Dynamites vs Rajshahi Kings

The Dynamites have been one of the strongest teams in the competition, as expected. They have won four matches in BPL 2016, and lost two, one of them being against Kings. Hence the Dynamites will also look upon this match as a chance to take revenge and defeat the Kings and strengthen their position in the standings.

Their players have delivered so far in BPL, which is primarily why they remain on second position. But they failed in their last match against Khulna Titans, which should spur them on to play solid cricket against Kings to defeat them. Kumar Sangakkara and skipper Shakib Al Hasan have to perform with the bat, and their bowlers also need to be strong.

The Kings, besides their win against Dynamites, have been poor. Apart from Sabbir Rahman's ton, their players have not delivered much in the competition, though they have the likes of Darren Sammy, Umar Akmal, Samit Patel among others. This is the match that these players have to stand up and deliver for them to push for a top four finish.

Comilla Victorians vs Chittagong Vikings

These two sides have not been impressive in BPL 2016. Victorians have won a solitary game while the Vikings have emerged victorious twice, which is not good in this competitive league.

However, the Victorians will hope to take inspiration from their only win, which came against Kings on Saturday. Finally, they got their bowling and batting right. Imrul Kayes and Nazmul Hossian contributed with the bat while Sohail Tanvir, Mohammad Saiffudin were brilliant with the ball, picking up four and three wickets respectively. Skipper Mashrafe Mortaza will be pleased to see these players deliver against Vikings.

The Vikings, like Victorians, come into this clash with a win over Kings, but their overall play has not been something to cherish. Despite possessing some star players like Tamim Iqbal, DR Smith, Grant Elliott, Mohammad Nabi, Taskin Ahmed, they have been inconsistent in BPL 2016, which has led to their downfall. They can still climb up the table, but for that to happen, big players need to shoulder responsibility against Victorians and in future matches as well.
