Rumour mills have been spinning for months now with stories about Bajaj's upcoming 400cc Pulsar. A lot has been written about the new Pulsar CS400 and now the latest is that Pune-based two-wheeler maker could launch the new Pulsar by May this year.

A report of Oncars.in indicates that the Pulsar CS400 could come to the Indian market by May this year. Eric Vas, president (Motorcycle Business), Bajaj Auto had earlier hinted that the Pulsar CS400 would be launched this year. The Pulsar CS400 concept made its first appearance at the Auto Expo 2014 along with the Pulsar SS400. The bike was linked to several launch dates since then.

The Pulsar CS400, what is probably Bajaj's first offering in its new power cruiser segment, is likely to be priced in the range of Rs 1.7 lakh to Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom). Built on the same platform as that of the KTM 390 Duke, the upcoming bike is expected to be powered by a 375cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve triple-spark engine.

It is likely to come mated to a six-speed transmission with fuel injection. The braking duties in the Pulsar CS400 are expected to be taken care of by disc brakes at the rear and the front and may get ABS on the menu.
