Bajaj Pulsar CS400, which was showcased for the first time at the Auto Expo 2014, finally seems to have a launch date. One of the most awaited motorcycles this year, the Pulsar CS400 would be launched in India in August.

The confirmation about the August launch has come from none other than Rajiv Bajaj, the MD of Bajaj Auto, reported Zigwheels. The Pulsar CS400 will be the most powerful motorcycle in Bajaj's stable and has been caught testing many times this year on public roads.

Spy shots indicate the production-spec motorcycle will be identical in terms of design to the one unveiled at the Auto Expo. The new Bajaj Pulsar CS400 is expected to get twin instrument console — one on the handlebar as seen in other bikes and the other on the fuel tank and wide tyres. It will get an all-black exhaust, newly-designed split seats, disc brakes for both wheels and alloy wheels with a new look.

The Pulsar CS400 will be powered by a 375cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve triple-spark engine, which is likely to churn out 40hp of peak power and around 30Nm of torque. The engine is expected to come mated to six-speed transmission with fuel injection. Built on the same platform as that of the KTM 390 Duke, the motorcycle will be advertised as cruiser sport motorcycle.

The motorcycle will be offered with ABS. It is not yet known whether it will be offered as standard or as optional. Bajaj's new motorcycle is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 1.7 lakh to Rs. 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom).
