It's just a couple of days in between Indian auto aficionados and the highly anticipated Bajaj Dominar 400 before it goes on sale in India on December 15. The Dominar 400, Bajaj Auto's flagship motorcycle, is the company's answer to Royal Enfield in India.

Already caught on camera several times before, Bajaj Dominar 400 has become a regular fixture in the auto world. But it's not over yet. Now, before Bajaj breaks the cover of its Dominar 400 officially in India, coming your way is one last parting gift: spy shots of the model popped up on the website MotorOctane. The images show the production version of the Dominar 400 in dual-tone black and white shade and reveal the Dominar badge on the fuel tank.

From the images, although Bajaj Dominar has not taken a major detour from the concept that was showcased at an auto show two years ago, the production version does sport some changes. The cruiser now gets twin instrument console — one on the handlebar as seen in other bikes and the other on the fuel tank — and the upside down front forks of the bike have been replaced by the conventional telescopic front suspension.

The power in the Dominar 400, which is also known as Pulsar CS400, is expected to be handled by a 373cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve triple-spark, fuel-injected mill mated to a six-speed transmission. The engine is expected to pump in power of 40bhp and 30Nm of peak torque. The Dominar is also rumoured to get a base variant with 34bhp of power. While the base variant is speculated to get single-channel ABS, the top-end variant is expected to come equipped with dual-channel ABS.

Now coming to the most interesting bit of information, it is now being said that the highly anticipated bike would carry a price tag starting at Rs 1.8 lakh, and you might be surprised that the figure that we just quoted is the on-road price. Not just that, the high-end variant of the Dominar 400 with dual-channel ABS is expected to come with a price tag of Rs 2.2 lakh. However, for an official confirmation, you will have to hold your breath till December 15.
