SS Rajamouli's "Bahubali: The Beginning" (also spelt as Baahubali), starring Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, has won the Best Feature Film at the 63rd National Film Award (NFA). The team of the film has since been flooded with congratulatory messages from celebs and fans.
The Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced the winners of the 63rd National Film Awards 2016 at 11:30 a.m. Monday. The officials tweeted on the Twitter page of MIB India: "#NFA- Best Feature Film: Bahubali, An imaginative film & monumental by its production values &cinematic brilliance. [sic]"
"Bahubali: The Beginning" was awarded the Golden Lotus Award (Swarna Kamal), a certificate and cash prize of Rs 2.5 lakh. The makers of "Bahubali" wrote on its official Twitter page: "#Baahubali has been awarded the Golden Lotus Award, as the Best Feature Film of 2015 at the 63rd #NationalAwards! [sic]"
"Bahubali: The Beginning" has already won several awards at the South Filmfare Awards, IIFA Utsavam and other such events. It has also been screened at the some International film festivals and won accolades there.
