The makers of Baahubali are thrilled to host the opening night party of the Fantastic Fest 2016 in Texas, where they will be joined by Nerdist producers. A special screening of SS Rajamouli's Magadheera will be held at the festival.

The opening night party of the Fantastic Fest will be held at Alamo South Lamar The Highball at 10pm on September 22. The makers of Baahubali revealed the excitement around the party through their official Twitter handle. They wrote: "We are happy to sponsor the opening night party at @fantasticfest 2016 in Texas! #Baahubali."

"Fantastic Fest unleashes the beasts of the east as our opening night party celebrates India. To blow the doors off our Indian cinema sidebar, we'll be packing Alamo South Lamar with South Asia's sights, sounds, sustenance and swigs. Joining us for the insanity will be an array of dancers, musicians, fire-breathers and ancient all-powerful gods. See Fantastic Fest transformed into a kaleidoscopic tapestry of Indi-insanity," reads a statement on the website of Fantastic Fest.

Magadheera, Khalnayak and Psycho Raman are the three Indian movies, which will be screened at the Fantastic Fest. "This year's Fantastic Fest has traveled all the way to South Asia for its annual theme as it embraces the 'dishoom!' (the sound of a punch landing in '60s Bollywood films) of Indian cinema and its superlative culinary delights," reads another statement on the website.

The festival will feature a dedicated Indian block of new and repertory features to showcase the Indian film industry. Included in the programme is the director's cut of Psycho Raman, the hyper violent offering from Anurag Kashyap. Also included is the sweeping, 400-year epic Magadheera, and the ultra-stylish Bollywood gangster film, Khalnayak.

Magadheera, which was released on July 31, 2009, is a romantic-action film based on the theme of reincarnation. The film was written by KV Vijayendra Prasad and directed by SS Rajamouli and stars Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal. The Baahubali makers tweeted: "Also on the agenda, a screening of our Director SS Rajamouli's #Magadheera during the festival, on the 24th and 29th of September!"
