Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Bahubali 2) starring Prabhas and Rana Daggubati has already set some new records and the latest one to enter the list is its massive release in North America.

Bahubali: The Beginning, the first installment in the Bahubali series, earned Rs 13 crore from its overseas theatrical rights and it grossed Rs 75.1 crore at the overseas box office. The film fetched a share of Rs 47.85 crore for its distributors. It huge success created lot of demand for the international rights of its sequel and the overseas distribution rights of Baahubali 2 have reportedly been sold for Rs 50 crore.

Great India Films, one of the leading South Indian film distributors overseas, revealed that it has acquired the overseas rights of Baahubali 2. The distributors claim that they have booked over 800 screens in North America alone.  They will also hold premieres in several centres on April 27, a day before its worldwide release. "We are glad that the film is carrying unprecedented hype all over the world and Great India Films is making a perfect plan to release the film in record number of screens all over North America. The Conclusion will release in more than 800 Screens all over America (USA, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean and Central America)," read the statement released by the distribution house.

Baahubali 2 is the first Indian film ever to release in 50 IMAX format. "We are making arrangements to screen this gigantic film in gigantic screens. A true IMAX format film will be released in about 30 to 50 IMAX locations across USA. Once confirmed IMAX locations will be announced soon. Apart from IMAX we are planning a wider release in PLF screens like Cinemark XD, Regal RPX, AMC Dolby and BigD screens," the distributors said.

The blockbuster success of Baahubali the beginning has soared the expectations on the sequel sky high. The distributors are confident about the massive success of Baahubali. "We are confident that the sequel, considering the hype and hysteria surrounding it and the mammoth release, will emerge as the highest grossing Indian film surpassing various Bollywood biggies," they said.

No Indian movie has released over 800 screens in the international market in the past and Baahubali 2 is set to achieve this rare feat. Interestingly, this screen count of the film is of one region. The SS Rajamouli-directed epic film will also be released in UK, UAE, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia and few other international markets. Its total screen count is likely to reach 2,000 overseas.
