Hollywood movie : Salazar's Revenge has opened to a good start at the Chennai box office. But it has failed to overpower SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2, which has continued to remain on top for the fifth consecutive weekend.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge has minted Rs. 39.06 lakh from 129 shows in Chennai, Behindwoods reported. The movie enjoyed good occupancy rates on Sunday compared to Friday and Saturday, claimed traders.

Meanwhile, Baahubali 2 has collected Rs. 49.38 lakh from 192 shows. The total collection of the Prabhas and Rana Daggubati-starrer stands at Rs. 16.74 crore at the Chennai box office. It is the highest-grossing movie of all time in the capital city of Tamil Nadu.

It is followed by Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae, which collected Rs. 41.55 lakh from 159 shows. The movie has garnered good reviews. The Jiiva-starrer has raked in Rs 1.43 crore in 10 days in Chennai.

Sachin: A Billion Dreams is in the fourth position at the Chennai box office. It has earned Rs 32.60 lakh from 108 shows.

Thondan has collected Rs. 32.50 lakh from 141 shows and Brindhavanam has earned Rs. 22.96 lakh from 117 shows.

Saravanan Irukka Bayamaen entered the third weekend by raking in Rs. 3.77 lakh from 39 shows to take its total tally to Rs. 1.08 crore. Bollywood film Half Girlfriend is in the last position minting Rs. 1.62 lakh from 15 shows. The total collection of this flick in Chennai stands at Rs. 39.79 lakh.
