SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 (Bahubali 2) continued its victorious march at the domestic box office as it made bigger collection than new releases - Sarkar 3 and Meri Pyaari Bindu – on its third Friday and Saturday.

Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar 3 and Ayushmann Khurrana's Meri Pyaari Bindu were released in 1,425 screens and 750 screens, respectively across the domestic market on May 12. They forced out Baahubali 2 from several theatres in the northern part of India. Trade analysts from B-Town predicted these new releases would slow down the pace of the Prabhas starrer, which did historic business in last two weeks. Check: Baahubali 2 full movie download

But the SS Rajamouli-directed movie continued to surprise the trade experts and Bollywood filmmakers with its superb performance in its third week. While new releases received lukewarm response on their opening day, the Hindi version of Baahubali 2 witnessed 100 percent occupancy in several cinema halls even on its third Friday.

When compared to its second Friday collection, Baahubali 2 witnessed around 50 percent drop on its third Friday and this decline was mainly due to the reduced screen count. But the film set a new club of movies crossing Rs. 400 crore nett. Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#Baahubali2 *400 NOT OUT*... Continues to shatter MYTHS + RECORDS... 3rd Fri HIGHER than *combined* Fri biz of #Sarkar3 + #MeriPyaariBindu."

The Hindi version of Baahubali 2 showed decent growth and collected Rs. 14 crore nett at the domestic box office on its third Friday, taking its total collection to Rs. 414 crore nett. Its gross collection has reached Rs. 585 crore in 16 days. The Prabhas and Rana Daggubati starrer is set to surpass the mark of Rs. 600 crore on its third Sunday.
