Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer "Baaghi" continued its dominance at the box office in its first week. Surprisingly, this small budget film recorded the third highest first-week collection in India.

"Baaghi" had a good first week playing at approximately Rs. 2,750 screens in India. In fact, the film had the third best first week run this year with a box office earning of Rs. 59.72 crore. The action romantic film has taken down "Ki and Ka" from the fifth highest grosser list position and now is poised to officially take down "Kapoor and Sons" to become the fourth highest grosser.

Shraddha had said that "Baaghi" got a good response from single screen halls and it has reflected positively in its box office income as well. Sabbir Khan's directorial film had a good hold in single screens in India.

"#Baaghi closes Week 1 on a GLORIOUS note... Was EXCELLENT in mass circuits... Emerges 3RD HIGHEST *Week 1* of 2016 *so far*... Hindi films," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, adding the first week breakup of the film: "#Baaghi Fri 11.94 cr, Sat 11.13 cr, Sun 15.51 cr, Mon 6.72 cr, Tue 5.77 cr, Wed 4.62 cr, Thu 4.03 cr. Total: ₹ 59.72 cr. India biz. SUPER!"

"WEEK 1 biz - 2016: #Airlift 83.50 cr #Fan 71.50 cr #Baaghi 59.72 cr #KapoorAndSons 46.93 cr #KiAndKa 37.57 cr #Neerja 35.32 cr Hindi films," Adarsh tweeted the first week collections of top six films.

"Baaghi" will continue its dream run its second week as well, as there is hardly any new release this week that could bring down Tiger-Shraddha movie's box office run.

Meanwhile, the Sabbir directorial film has shattered the lifetime box office collection record of Tiger's debut movie "Heropanti" and Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor's "Ki and Ka."

"Baaghi" also had a good one-week run at the overseas box office. The film minted Rs. 16.25 crore from the overseas box office with the UAE-GCC, Pakistan and the U.S. - Canada circuits performing their best.

"#Baaghi - OVERSEAS - opng week: $ 2.44 million [₹ 16.25 cr]... Best in UAE-GCC [$ 1 mn], Pakistan [$ 501k], USA-Canada [$ 312k]. GOOD!

The overseas (Rs. 16.25 crore) and the gross domestic box office collection (Rs. 85.31 crore) has taken its worldwide income to Rs. 96.16 crore. The film should cross Rs. 100 crore worldwide by its second Friday run.
