
Atharvana Bhadrakali Pictures officially acquires its overseas theatrical rights of the movie Rakasa. The film will release in 350 theaters spanning the USA, Europe, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia on April 3.
The production house Pink Elephant Pictures tweeted a teaser and captioned it with, "USA, get ready for the chaos! We're bringing the fun, madness and laughter straight to you. #RĀKĀSĀ Grand overseas release by @atharvanabhadrakalipictures Catch the madness in cinemas starting April 3, 2026!"
Atharvana Bhadrakali Pictures is known for its expanding footprint in international distribution. Now it has strategically aligned with Rakasa to ensure a wide and coordinated overseas rollout. The scale of the release reflects a calculated push into key diaspora-driven territories.
The title announcement and the release of its first glimpse have generated notable traction across digital platforms for Rakasa. The glimpse has clocked 1.8 million views since its release.
Rakasa has completed its principal photography and is currently in post-production. The team is focusing on refining the edit, background score, sound design, and overall visual texture. The previously released official poster and glimpse established the film's imaginative tonal space without revealing narrative specifics.
Rakasa features Sangeeth Shobhan and Nayan Sarika in the lead roles. Sangeeth is coming back after back-to-back blockbusters MAD and MAD Square. The movie features an ensemble cast of Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Getup Srinu. The film is written and directed by Manasa Sharma.
Sangeeth Sobhan has previously collaborated with Niharika on web projects. Manasa Sharma worked as a writer and creator for Pink Elephant Pictures' web series Oka Chinna Family Story (ZEE5) and as a director for Bench Life (Sony LIV). Now, she is set to debut as a feature film director under the same banner.
Sangeeth Shobhan played the lead role in Oka Chinna Family Story. The film is presented by Z Studios and produced under Pink Elephant Pictures by Niharika Konidela and Umesh Kumar Bansal. The technical team includes music by Anudeep Dev, cinematography by Raju Edurolu, and editing by Anwar Ali.
