After releasing the Zenfone Max Pro M2, Asus launched the generic Max M2 in India on 20 December.
The new Asus phone comes in two configurations— 3GB RAM + 32GB and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage—for Rs 9,999 and Rs 11,999, respectively. Both the models will be exclusively available on Flipkart with lucrative launch offers.
For the uninitiated, the Zenfone Max M2 flaunts a sleek design language with 6.26-inch HD+ screen with 2.5D Gorilla Glass and on the back, it features sturdy shell.
Under-the-hood, it comes packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 octa-core, Android Oreo OS, 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage (expandable up to 2TB via micro SD), a 4,000mAh battery, which is more than sufficient to offer a whole day's battery life under mixed usage.
As far as the photography is concerned, the Max M2 houses dual-camera on the back similar to the Zenfone Max Pro M2 series, but it watered down to cut costs. Nevertheless, it takes decent pictures under natural light conditions. It comes with a 13MP (with F1.8 aperture) and a 2MP depth sensor with LED flash and 4K Video recording capability. It also features 8MP front-facing snapper with F2.0 aperture and a LED flash.
I have been using the Zenfone Max M2 for past several days and I have to say, it has impressed a lot. It is fast in terms of responding to opening apps, switching between multiple apps and also the camera too, takes decent quality images for its price-range.
