PC maker Asus has launched a new smartphone Pegasus 2 Plus in China.

The Asus Pegasus 2 Plus is said to be the upgraded version of the 2014 budget handset Pegasus X002 and going by the specifications of the new device, it has improvements in almost all aspects.

The Pegasus 2 Plus sports a 5.5-inch full HD screen and runs on the latest Android v5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box.

Under the hood, it comes packed with 64-bit class Snapdragon 615 Octa-core processor backed by Adreno 405 graphics engine, 3GB RAM and a 3030 mAh battery.

It also boasts of a 13mp camera on the back with LED flash and an 8mp snapper on the front, decent enough to capture a good selfie.

According to Mobile-163, the Asus Pegasus 2 Plus will be retailed initially in China in two colour variants - rose gold and white. However, details regarding the price and release date of the device are still under wraps.
