ASUS has added two new tablet devices in their Android tablet portfolio. Dubbed as MeMOpad 8 and Fonepad 7, both the tablets will focus on the budget and the mid-budget tablet market.
ASUS Fonepad 7
The ASUS Fonepad 7 FE171CG is the latest edition of ASUS's budget 3G calling tablet series. Boasting a 7-inch LED backlit WSVGA IPS panel with a resolution support of 600x1,024 pixels, the Fonepad 7 runs on the Intel Clover Trail Plus Z2520 Dual Core CPU.
The tablet also includes 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt memory with expandable support up to 64GB via Micro SD support. The tablet, which packs an 8mp rear camera and a 2mp front snapper, runs on Android Kitkat 4.4.
ASUS MeMOpad 8
The ASUS MeMOpad 8 ME581CL belongs to the mid-budget series of tablets with better specifications and a bigger screen. The MeMOpad 8 boasts a 8-inch WUXGA HD display with resolution support of 1,080x1,920 pixels and comes with an overlaid Corning Gorilla Glass for added protection.
The display also supports stylus with a tip size greater than 1.5mm. Powered by an Intel Quad Core 1.83GHz Z3560 processor the MeMOpad 8 adds 2GB worth RAM, 16GB in-built memory and 5GB of LifeTime ASUS WebStorage space.
Both ASUS Fonepad 7 – FE171CG and ASUS MeMO Pad 8 - ME581CL are available on Flipkart at ₹10,999 and ₹19,999 respectively.
