A star in the Indian team is slowly losing his place and people seem to have overlooked that fact. He goes by the name of Ajinkya Rahane.

He donned the blue jersey for India during the T20 series against Sri Lanka, because Virat Kohli was rested for the series. It was a good opportunity for him to show his class and temperament, but he failed to make an impact and as a result he is surely going to lose his place in the team to Kohli, who has been in red hot form.

Undoubtedly, he is one of the best batsmen in India's ranks but the Team India management are not able to find a place for the former Rajasthan Royals batsman.

He might have been considered in the place of Shikhar Dhawan if the left-handed batsman was out of form. But Dhawan has been in good shape and form with his willow.

Now the problem lies with the fact that Virat Kohli almost owns the No.3 position in the batting order. The kind of form Kohli is in, a normal sensible human mind will not replace him in this upcoming Asia Cup T20 2016.

There is one more slot in the team, which Rahane may fit in but that has been occupied by Baroda all-rounder Hardik Pandya. With the emergence of the youngster, Rahane has not been able to sneak into the Indian team. Pandya's all-round abilities will be preferred during the upcoming tournaments. In that case, if Pandya fails, Harbhajan Singh and Pawan Negi are already waiting in queue.

Rahane is not a hard-hitter of the ball but his sheer timing makes him a treat to watch. He also has a strike-rate of just above 114 in the shortest format of the game.

With Rahane, India can have an electric fielder on the ground. He is absolutely stunning, be it in the outfield or in the in-field.

Recently, Yuvraj Singh made his comeback in the T20 squad for India. He also won India a thrilling match along with Suresh Raina in Australia. Yuvi's resurgence has also created problems for the talented Mumbai cricketer.

It is indeed sad to see someone like him sitting in the dugout with the training jersey on and at times be the 12th man when a player is injured on the field.

Unfortunately, at this moment, MS Dhoni will find it difficult to make place for Rahane in his side.
