Soon after Google launched the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS on 29 September, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) partners HTC and Motorola revealed the list of devices eligible for the new OS update.

This week (5-9 October), tier-1 brands Sony, Huawei and carrier network T-Mobile have announced their own list of gadgets.

Here is the list of Sony, Huawei and T-Mobile network based Samsung and LG devices confirmed to get the new update:

Sony:

The Japanese company has confirmed that the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be released to Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia M5, Xperia C5 Ultra, Xperia M4 Aqua and Xperia C4.

This means that 2013's flagship Xperia Z1 series and other older devices won't be getting any more updates henceforth.

Huawei devices:

Telecommunication equipment giant Huawei, on the sidelines of Honor 7 smartphone launch in India, has revealed that the new phone will get update in January 2016, whereas the older generation models Honor 6 Plus, Honor 6 and Honor 4 will get the Marshmallow in March 2016.

T-Mobile based devices:

Before Samsung and LG could officially announce the Android 6.0 eligible devices, American network carrier T-Mobile has revealed that the new update will be deployed to Galaxy Note 4, Note 5, Note Edge, Galaxy S5, S6 , S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and Tab S2.

The new update would also be released to LG G4, G3 and G Stylo. HTC One M8, M9, Asus Nexus 7 (2013) and Motorola Nexus 6 are the other devices guaranteed to get Google's new sugar treat-flavoured mobile OS, said the telecommunication firm.

The devices listed by T-Mobile are only related to the US region.
