Producer Anil Sunkara has described filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao, who died of prolonged illness on Tuesday, as directors' director and dedicated Andhhagadu (Andagadu/Andhagadu) to him.

Andhhagadu is produced by Sunkara Ramabrahmam, a sibling of Anil Sunkara, under the banner AK Entertainments Pvt Ltd. Soon after hearing the news about Dasari Narayana Rao's death, Anil Sunkara‏ took to his Twitter handle to share his shock and sadness. He tweeted: "It is a very saddened day for the telugu film industry. Dasari garu is always there for us. We cannot believe TFI without him."

Anil Sunkara continued: "Personally for me and our AK Ent and 14 reels, it is a great loss as he is the first person who used to watch all our movies and enjoy. Missing you sir, But you will always be there till TFI exists. Please shower your blessing upon the industry. We dedicate our movie to our beloved dasari garu."

The makers of Andhhagadu also released a poster featuring a photo of Dasari Narayana Rao and a statement that read: "We miss Dasari Narayana Rao garu physically, but he will be with us for ever. His blessings will be with AK Entertainmenets. We dedicate our movie Andhhagadu to the director of directors Sri Dasari Narayana Rao garu. May his soul rest in peace."

Andhhagadu, which means blind man, is a comedy film, written and directed by Veligonda Srinivas. Raj Tarun and Hebah Patel are the lead pair while Rajendra Prasad will be seen in a crucial role. Ashish Vidyarthi, Raja Ravindra, Sayaji Shinde, Satya and Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao have also acted in the movie.

Sekhar Chandra has composed the music and B Rajashekar handled the camera for Andhhagadu. The promos of the film have impressed the film goers and generated a lot of buzz. The movie scheduled to be released in the theatres across the world on June 2.
