American e-retailer giant, Amazon has kick-started the week-long Diwali Dhamaka Sale in India.
The e-commerce site is offering huge discounts on consumer electronics devices, e-books and sundries. Unlike Flipkart's disastrous flash sale early in the week, Amazon has made arrangement like waiting list and a count-down timer for the discount offer on particular device, so that there would be no confusion over change in price. New devices from various retailers will be put-up for sale every hour between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm every day for next one week. [10-16 October]
