Smartphone leader, Samsung is reportedly gearing to launch its flagship phablet Galaxy Note 4 in India next week.

The company has begun sending out invites to select media houses for a launch event to showcase the -'The Next GALAXY', understood to be the eagerly awaited Galaxy Note 4 on 14 October, reported The Times Of India.

This revelation comes as a surprise, as the company last month, on its official Facebook, had shown an info-graphic poster revealing that Galaxy Note 4 will be launched in India on 10 October.

Now the company's new 14 October launch day seems to clash with arch rival, Apple, which has also confirmed to release the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus during the same week (on 16 October midnight).

Both the rivals together are reportedly (Courtesy, The Economic Times) spending close to ₹200 crores (₹100-₹120 crores by Samsung and up to ₹70-₹80 crores by Apple Inc with Airtel and Reliance) for promotional campaigns in print and TV media space to cash-in on the Diwali holidays later this month.

The South Korean company has already launched Galaxy Alpha, thought to be the competitor to Apple iPhone 6 (4.7-inch) for ₹39,990, few weeks ago and now Galaxy Note 4 will directly face-off with the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus. 

If Samsung choose to go with an aggressive price-tag for the flagship phablet, the company is expected to sway some price-conscious buyers, considering Apple iPhone 6 Plus models' starting price is a whopping ₹62,500.
