Has it managed to stand tall on the expectations or not; let's find out. Majority of the social media reviews pouring in by the audience have labelled the film as 'average'. However, there is also a section that has hailed Alia's action sequences and the film. Check out some of the social media reviews.

The reviews

"It feels emotionally hollow... The film briefly comes alive whenever Alia and Sharvari share the frame. Perhaps that's because women facing each other in a full blooded action film is still uncommon in commercial cinema. But it never aims beyond the basics and ends up feeling like a quiet, forgettable spy thriller," wrote a social media user.

"Alpha is a bafflingly mediocre concept for a spy universe film that makes you wonder who approved it and why ?? You are investing 100cr+ in a movie yet you can't hire decent writers? Bollywood producers need to pay writers better, just like in 70s if they truly want a comeback," another social media user commented.

"It's not just about hiring better writers. The real problem is the mindset: they reduce spy films to slick action, exotic locales, bikini glamour, and rogue agents borrowed from Hollywood. They forget the core: a spy thwarting an enemy nation's agenda or avenging past wrongs," read a comment.

"Watch only for Alia Bhatt, Sharvari bikini scenes and Hrithik Roshan's cameo. Rest skip," another comment read.

"Alpha is all style, zero substance. Weak story, forced emotions, and action that never feels impactful. The background score tries harder than the script. Two hours that feel much longer. A forgettable action film," another audience member commented.

Even though quite limited in comparison, Alpha also had some positive reviews.

"The one positive strength of Alpha, was it's powerful BGM which was truly sounding international and the credit goes to its founders, who made the music Insane!!" read a comment.

"The audience is loving Alia Bhatt's performance in the film. No amount of negative campaigning against her can take away the love the general audience has for her," another comment read.

"The film is not half as bad as haters are trying to project. Decent acting, fab action sequences and amazing background score," read a comment.
