Stylish star Allu Arjun has planned to release of his next movie DJ aka Duvvada Jagannadham on June 23 after the makers of superstar Mahesh Babu's Spyder postponed its release date.
Mahesh Babu's most-awaited movie Spyder was slated for release on June 23. But the makers have reportedly postponed the release of the film, which is now scheduled to hit the screens in the last week of August. A source close to the production team claimed the makers took this decision due to delay in the production works.
The source added that director AR Murugadoss has planned to shoot some action episodes for which he is using high-end VFX, which requires a lot of time. Besides there is a lot of other production work left to be done. Earlier, the makers were thinking of releasing Spyder in July, but pushed it further to August to give enough time to make the things look perfect and better.
On the other hand, DJ aka Duvvada Jagannadham was scheduled to be released in theatres on May 19, but the movie was postponed due to the delay in its production work. The makers were quick to pick June 23 for its release, soon after the producers of Spyder decided to delay its release.
Allu Arjun took to his Twitter handle on April 21 to reveal the release date of DJ aka Duvvada Jagannadham. The star tweeted a poster of the movie, writing: "Sabbhya Samajaniki Message: DJ DUVVADA JAGANNADHAM Movie releasing on 23rd JUNE 2017! #DJ23rdJune !"
