Agastya Nanda's 'Ikkis' has opened with luke warm response. Neither the film nor his acting has made people sit upright and applaud. Sriram Raghava's 'Ikkis' marks Agastya's second film after Zoya Akhtar's 'The Archies'. For those unversed, Agastya is the son of Shweta Bachchan, who is Amitabh Bachchan's daughter.
"Surname is Nanda"
Now, in a recent interview, Agastya was asked if being a part of families like "Bachchan" and "Nanda" put pressure on him. The young actor is seen saying, "I don't take that pressure in the slightest because I know that's not my legacy to own. I think my surname is Nanda because I'm my father's son first. I focus on making him proud, and that's a legacy I carry very heavily on me."

"My other family members who are actors. I admire their work, I love their work. But I don't think I can ever be them. So, it's not even worth spending time trying to think of it," he added. However, this comment didn't go down well with many on Reddit. The platform was quick to troll and school him of the 'privileges' he is getting because of being a 'Bachchan'.
"He thinks he will be saved for saying he is a nanda," a reddit user wrote.

Gets schooled
"Brother has Bachchan and Kapoor blood in him. There's no escape for him from the nepotism debate," another reddit user commented.
"What an absolute buffoon. That's your literal grandpa. He's an icon (and has his faults). Imagine being like oh I'm following my father's legacy not my mom's??? Bro be for real. If that was my son, I'd be offended. Shi," read a comment.
"Bro you have one thing going for you. Accept it and acknowledge its advantages. Chahe toh you can even throw in the "but there is also pressure, hope i make him proud" nonsense lol," a social media user opined.
"Whatever the reason, just a weird statement overall. He's your literal granddad, not even a great-uncle. I don't think you could wash your hands off your grandpa's legacy just based on a surname change, that too the biggest footprint in BW's history," another social media user wrote.
"He is taking all the advantage he is provided with, he just refuses to acknowledge the advantage he has," a comment read.
"Right his acting in his recent movie seems awful. He ruined such beautiful songs," one more of the comments read.
"I saw a video on Instagram recently where they said, life is difficult and unfair. Take each and every advantage you are provided with - and acknowledge your privilege. This kid is set on doing the exact opposite," was another one of the comments.
