Looks like there is yet another happy news for Mohanlal-Manju Warrier fans. The latest buzz in the industry is that Mohanlal and Manju Warrier is pairing up for a Joshiy. Though the news is not yet confirmed, some sources close to the industry assures the news to be true.
Earlier it was reported that Joshiy will go ahead with Mammootty as lead opposite Manju Warrier. Joshiy had earlier directed Mammootty for nearly 30 films including hits like "Nirakoottu", "Nair Saab", "New Delhi", "No 20 Madras Mail", "Kuttettan", "Dhruvam" and "Sainyam" and the last film they did together was multi-starrer film, "Twenty Twenty".
Scriptwriter Ranjan Pramod had earlier confirmed that his next film will be with director Joshiy with Manju Warrier as lead actress. However, he added that the hero of the film is yet to be confirmed. Rumours of Mammootty being the lead of the film gained momentum based on earlier reports of Mammootty's upcoming project with Joshiy. Moreover, the director had said that the Mammootty-starrer would be scripted by Ranjan Pramod. But, the latest unconfirmed reports suggest it is not Mammootty, but Mohanlal who will play the lead.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal is yet to complete the final schedule of his film with Joshiy's upcoming movie "Lailaa O Lailaa". In the film, Amala Paul will play the lead opposite Mohanlal. As per reports, Joshiy had also planned a film, titled "Saddam Sivan", with Dileep.
On the other hand, Manju had earlier worked with Joshiy in 1999 hit film, "Pathram". The film is considered to be the biggest hit in Manju's career as it ran for 250 days in Kerala theatres and was also in the news for the controversies surrounding it. The movie was boycotted by leading newspaper groups - Mathrubhumi and Manorama - for portraying them in bad light.
Mohanlal and Manju Warrier are currently awaiting the release of Sathyan Anthikkad's movie, which is yet to be titled. This movie is also scripted by Ranjan Pramod, who had associated with Sathyan Anthikkad for movies like "Manasinakkare" and "Achuvinte Amma". The story of the movie is penned by veteran actor Raveendran.
Mohanlal and Manju Warrier have earlier worked together for hit films like "Araam Thampuran", "Kanmadham" and "Summer In Bethlehem."
