Though there was no announcement about the former Miss World co-producing the flick, now Sanjay Gupta has gone on record saying that Aishwarya was always on board, according to Bollywood Hungama.

There has been a growing trend of Bollywood actors producing their own films. Earlier, actress Anushka Sharma had also jumped on the actor-turned-producers' bandwagon with her film "NH10" earlier this year.

The Bachchan Bahu who is the latest star to join the league, is also making her comeback after five years with this action thriller film.

"Jazbaa" is a female-centric flick in which Aishwarya will be seen performing some high octane, never-seen-before action sequences. Irrfan Khan plays the role of a suspended police officer who has problems with authority and discipline.

The film is a remake of South Korean crime drama "Seven Days", which will hit the theatres on 9 October.

After wrapping up "Jazbaa", Aishwarya will start shooting for Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.

The gorgeous actress will soon appear in director Omung Kumar's biopic on Sarabjit Singh, who died in a Pakistani jail in May 2013. Aishwarya will play the role of Sarabjit's sister Dalbir Kaur.
