Gautham Menon, who is basking in the success of Ajith starrer "Yennai Arindhaal", and Vikram, whose 'I" has become one of the big hits of his career, will be joining hands for the first time.

As per a report in The Times of India, Gautham Menon approached Vikram for a project recently. They had talks about the scripts and Chiyaan is reportedly impressed with the storyline. Hence, he has agreed to star in the proposed Tamil movie.

"Gautham and Vikram had a script-discussion meeting recently. Vikram liked the story and has agreed to be part of it," a source close to the development told The Times of India.

While Vikram is busy with Vijay Milton's "10 Enradhukulla", Gautham Menon will be moving onto his other project "Sattendru Maaruthu Vaanilai" starring Simbu. The duo will begin their maiden venture once they wrap up their afore-mentioned movies.

"Sattendru Maaruthu Vaanilai" was kick-started even before the commencement of "Yennai Arindhaal". When the offer to work with Ajith's movie came his way, Gautham Menon could not turn it down, he rather put the Simbu starrer on hold to start Thala's flick.

However, Simbu's movie has already completed 30 days of shoot. On the other end, Vikram's "10 Enradhukulla" is likely to be completed by March.

"This will be Vikram's next after "10 Endrathukulla", for which he will complete the shooting in March. Then, this Gautham-Vikram project will go on the floors — which will be in a couple of months," add the source.

Other cast and crew of Gautham Menon-Vikram's movie are yet to be finalised.
