Actor Adivi Sesh said that he is a big fan of Mrunal Thakur and Anurag Kashyap. They have important roles in Decoit and they have done wonderful work in the movie.
Mrunal Thakur is playing the female lead alongside Adivi Sesh in Decoit. Talking about her, the actor said that he is big fan of her. He said, "I'm a big fan of Mrunal Thakur she's a fantastic actress and has a very special place in Telugu cinema with films like Sita Ramam and Hi Nanna."
Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is making his acting debut in Telugu movies with Decoit. Adivi Sesh says that he has grown up watching his movies and his film Black Friday impact him. He met him in a wedding function. He himself narrated the story of the movie to him. He like it and came on board.
Adivi Sesh said, "Anurag Kashyap is someone whose work influenced me a lot while growing up. His film Black Friday was very impactful on me as a kid. I was actually the one who requested our production house to bring Anurag sir on board. I happened to meet him at a wedding, and I personally pitched him the story there. He has never done a Telugu film before this is his first."
Decoit is made in Telugu and Hindi. It is not dubbed in Hindi. The team has shot the movie separately in Hindi. Anurag Kashyap helped the team in writing dialogues for the Hindi version of the movie.
Adivi Sesh said, "What makes it even more special is that this is not a dubbed film. We shot it separately in two languages. The Hindi version has its own proper treatment with certain changes, making it feel like a straight Hindi film. Anurag sir, being such a brilliant writer-director, even helped us with dialogues."
It is known that Anurag Kashyap once rejected an offer to star in Tom Cruise's movie. Such an actor accepting to do a Telugu movie is a big deal. Adivi Sesh said, "I once heard that he had even turned down an opportunity related to a film with Tom Cruise, so the fact that he said yes to our script means a lot. It shows the weight and merit the story carries."
Mrunal Thakur has an important role in Decoit and her role is equal to the role of the hero. Talking about her role, Adivi Sesh said, "And with Mrunal having such a strong character in the film, you can say it's almost a two-hero film both me and Mrunal are equally important parts of it."
