Aditya Dhar's 'Dhurandhar 2' has seen massive success at the box office. At the same time, the film has also landed in major controversy over some falsely edited scenes. Ever since the release of the film, several mischief makers have used AI to fabricate and falsely edit scenes from the film to hurt religious sentiments.
What Dhar wrote
Now, Aditya Dhar has taken to social media to issue a stern warning to the individuals behind it. Aditya thanked one and all for the outpour of immense love and appreciation for the sequel to 'Dhurandhar'.
After thanking the audience for the love, he wrote, "However, it has come to my attention that certain individuals are circulating manipulated visuals, by morphing officially released promotional material using artificial intelligence to create false and misleading narratives."

Dhar went on to add, "One such fabricated image falsely depicts the character Hamza/Jaskirat smoking while wearing a turban. This is completely untrue and does not form part of the film or any official material released by us. It is a deliberate act of misrepresentation intended to provoke and create mischief."
The film's director then went on to add that he has the highest respect for the Sikh community. He added that he took care of sensitivity, dignity and responsibility while showing Sikh characters in the film. "Any attempt to suggest otherwise through any doctored content is malicious and dishonest," he clarified.
Aditya Dhar has a stern warning for people
He further said that "such acts will be dealt with firmly". Various Sikh based organisations had complained of Ranveer Singh's character wearing a turban and smoking in one of the scenes. In another complained, the community had alleged that R Madhavan's character recites verses from Guru Granth Sahib allegedly while smoking.
Madhavan had taken to social media to clarify that the shared clips were edited and falsely manipulated.
