A 9-year-old Yazidi girl, raped by at least 10 Isis fighters, has reportedly got pregnant.

The Yazidi girl, who was among the 200 women and children released by the Islamic State fighters earlier last week, spent eight months in captivity. The Isis militants, back in August last year, had taken thousands of Yazidi women and children hostages from Sinjar.

Hundreds of Yazidi men were beheaded and executed by Isis. Yazidi are a minority group, who are seen as 'devil worshippers' by Isis and hence the Sunni militants wants to annihilate the ethnic minority.

According to Toronto Star, the child was raped by "no fewer than" 10 Isis fighters. "Most of them were front-line fighters or suicide bombers who are given girls as a reward," Yousif Daoud, a Canada-based aid worker, told the news source.

"The abuse she has suffered left her mentally and physically traumatised. She was in very bad shape," said Daoud.

The aid worker, who recently returned from the region, said the girl was just too young and could die while delivering the baby. "Even cesarean section is dangerous."

The girl is currently in care of a Kurdish aid group, which is taking her to Germany to ensure she gets all care, the Canadian news source reported.

Several of the Yazidi women rescued from Isis has stories of horrors to narrate. Ziyad Shammo Khalaf, who works with the local NGO, Yazda, told IBTimes UK: "If you come and sit with the girls you will find different stories from girl to girl. A lot of them have been sold to Isis fighters, they have been raped in public, and by more than two or three people at a time."
