The Suriya-Samantha starrer Tamil-Telugu bilingual movie, "24," has done decent business at the worldwide box office in its first week. The film has crossed the Rs. 75 crore gross mark in seven days.

The Vikram Kumar-directed sci-fi thriller was released in a large number of theatres around the world on May 6 and opened to good response everywhere except in Tamil Nadu. The film "24" showed decent growth and made fantastic collections in areas other than the home state in the first week.

"24" is estimated to have grossed over Rs. 22 crore at the Tamil Nadu box office in its first week. The movie has earned Rs. 14 crore to its distributors in seven days. Despite the positive word-of-mouth reviews around it, the film's collection has been below expectations. Trade experts are surprised over its average performance at the ticket counters.

The Suriya and Samantha-starrer has performed brilliantly  at the ticket counters in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (AP/T). "24" collected over Rs. 16 crore gross at the AP/T box office in the first week. Its seven-day distributors' share stands at Rs. 10.3 crore, which is said to be the highest amount earned by a Suriya film in these areas.

The movie 24" is estimated to have grossed approximately Rs. 4.8 crore at the Karnataka box office in the first week while its seven-day-distributors' share stands at Rs. 2.2 crore. Trade analysts say this is average business for a Suriya film in the state. The film could have made better collection if its distributors had planned its release well.

"24" is estimated to have collected Rs. 7.93 crore gross at the Kerala box office in the first week and its seven-day net collection stands at Rs. 6.40 crore. The movie is estimated to have earned Rs. 3.22 crore to its distributors, who are said to be happy with its performance. The film has grossed approximately Rs. 1.30 crore in other parts of India and earned Rs. 60 lakh to its distributors.

The sci-fi thriller "24" has collected $1,292,988 in North America and A$219,898 in Australia in the first week. The movie has also fared well in other international markets, collecting over Rs. 23 crore at the overseas box office in seven days. It is estimated to have earned Rs. 12.75 crore to its distributors.
