Suriya and Samantha's "24" has continued to keep the cash registers ringing at the U.S. box office in its second week. Its collection crossed the $1.5-million mark in 10 days.

Released in theatres on May 6, "24" received good response and has been rock-steady at the ticket counters in North America. The movie collected $1,292,988 at the US box office in the first week. Since there were no big releases from any Indian-language film industry, the film was expected to continue its rocking run in the country.

The Suriya and Samantha-starrer needed to collect $207,012 to surpass the $1.5-million mark. After seeing the response on weekdays, the trade analysts predicted the movie would surely collect the sum in its second weekend. Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#24TheFilm is speeding towards $ 1.5 million at NORTH AMERICA box-office, which should be crossed today [Sun]. SUPERB... contd. [sic]"

When compared to its opening-day collection, "24" showed huge dip in its business on its second Friday. But the movie showed a big jump on Saturday. Idlebrain Jeevi tweeted: "#24TheMovie collects $58,966 on 2nd Friday to collect a total of $1,351,954 in North America. [sic]" He added on Sunday: "#24TheMovie collects $103,967 on 2nd Saturday to take the total to $1,457,472 in North America [sic]."

As is the trend, the Vikram Kumar-directed science-fiction thriller saw a considerable dip in collection on Sunday, lower than that of its second Friday. The film is estimated to have approximately collected $49,744 at the U.S. box office on its 10th day.

In its second weekend, "24" is estimated to have collected approximately $212,677 at the U.S. box office, taking its 10-day U.S. total to $1,506,216. Box Office Telugu tweeted: "#24TheMovie collects around $212k over the 2nd wknd and the total of $1,506,216 by 2nd wknd in North America. [sic]"

The film "24" has successfully crossed the $1.5-million mark and become the highest-grossing Tamil movie at the U.S. box office in recent years. Taran Adarsh tweeted: "As you read this, #24TheFilm crosses $ 1.5 million mark [₹ 10 cr+] at NORTH AMERICA box-office. Still counting... An ENVIABLE feat! @Rentrak. [sic]"
