After introducing 8.0-inch touchscreen unit in the EcoSport's Platinum model, Ford has now added the infotainment system to its Titanium and Titanium Plus variants. Now, the 1.5 Petrol Titanium is priced at Rs 9.09 lakh while the 1.5 Diesel Titanium Plus gets a price tag of 10.26 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
The update is not available on Titanium AT petrol trim as it continues to feature Ford's Sync infotainment system. Sync infotainment system doesn't support Apple CarPlay, Android Auto or Mirror Link.
The new infotainment system comes with an 8.0-inch touchscreen display with DVD player, USB, AUX and radio. It also has door ajar warning and rear camera. There are no other changes in terms of style and features.
The EcoSport is offered in three engine options– 1.5-litre petrol engine, 1.5-litre diesel engine and a 1.0 litre EcoBoost petrol motor. While the 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine of the EcoSport develops 123bhp and 170Nm of torque mated to five-speed manual transmission, the 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine churns out 109bhp and 140Nm of torque mated to either manual or automatic transmission. The 1.5-TDCi diesel engine is tuned to pump in 99bhp power and 205Nm torque mated to five-speed manual transmission.
Ford is expected to bring the facelifted EcoSport to India later this year. The new avatar will have a new front grille– replacing the current split grille, reworked front and rear bumpers, upmarket interior with new infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto commands, new dashboard and steering wheel.
