It looks like the launch of Bajaj Auto's new Pulsar 200NS has almost been confirmed. If emerging reports are to be believed, the new Pulsar 200NS could be coming your way sooner than expected.

The 2017 Pulsar 200NS is expected to be launched in mid-January next year, reports CarandbIke. While the Pulsar 200NS in its new avatar is likely to bear minor changes in terms of style and looks, the major change is expected in the form of BS-IV engine upgrade. According to the report, the new Pulsar 200NS could also get a new body shade in its colour palette. The updated versions of Bajaj's flagship motorcycle Pulsar 200NS may also get Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), but later in its life-cycle.

For now, Bajaj is unlikely to make any changes in the engine of the new Pulsar 200NS and it is likely to come with the same 199.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled unit that develops 23bhp of power and 18.3Nm of torque. However, Bajaj might re-tune the engine for better fuel efficiency.

The two-wheeler maker is currently not selling the 200NS in India. However, the bike continues to be in production at the company's plant for export. Although the reason for withdrawing the Pulsar 200NS is not known, it has been attributed to the production constraints at the company's plant after the launch of the Pulsar AS duo — AS 150 and AS 200. Bajaj is also expected to update the Pulsar AS 150 and AS 200 with the BS-IV compliant engines soon. The company has already announced the arrival of the new Avenger range with updated engines. Bajaj has recently launched its Pulsar range—Pulsar 135LS, Pulsar 180 and Pulsar 220F with BS-IV compliant engines.
