Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) has updated the YZF-R25 ABS version for 2016 with new colours. Apart from the standard Racing Blue colour, the YZF-R25 ABS is now available in grey and Diablo Red options.

For Racing Blue, there is little difference in the blue colour in the front fairing, which is a touch thinner than the model launched in 2014. Racing Blue is inspired by the Yamaha Factory Racing colours. On-road price at Jakarta for the motorcycle is the same as the previous model at IDR 59 million (approximately Rs 2.86 lakh)

"Issuing Yamaha YZF-R25 latest colour ABS is part of an effort to refresh products in the market and strengthen the image. This will provide variation for consumers who want to appear with other colours. Nothing has changed in the specifications," said Mohammad Masykur, Assistant GM Marketing PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM).

Yamaha sells the YZF-R25 with non-ABS version in three colours: Racing Blue, Diablo Red and Predator Black.

In Indonesia, the R25 comes loaded with a 250cc liquid-cooled in-line four-stroke two-cylinder engine that can churn out power of 36bhp at 12,000rpm and peak torque of 22.1Nm at 10,000rpm, mated to six-speed transmission. Built on a tubular diamond chassis, the YZF-R25 comes with telescopic suspension at the front and mono suspension in the rear.

Yamaha is tight-lipped on the launch of the R25 in India. If launched, the motorcycle will rival the Hyosung GT250R, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the Honda CBR250R.
