US auto major Ford has pulled the wraps off its new face-lifted EcoSport at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show and interestingly the SUV now comes without the rear-mounted spare wheel.

The new EcoSport SUV, which came donned in Deep Impact Blue, has received changes both inside and outside. It gets bespoke 17-inch wheels, black roof and mirror caps and a rear diffuser. While the new EcoSport S gets tire mobility kit as the standard offering, the rear-mounted tailgate will also be available as optional.

Inside the cabin, the SUV gets a colour four-inch display, partial leather seats standard for Titanium models, winter packs that includes heated windscreen, mirrors and seats and rear seat ducting. The noise, vibration and harness level have also been reduced with ticker sound deadening materials used in the door and dashboard. The rear twist beam as well as the spring and damper rates have been re-tuned and the ride height has also been reduced by 10mm.

The new model will be available in UK by June. There is no word yet on the arability of the same in India, however, some of these features could also make it to the India-bound version too.

Currently, the 1.5L petrol engine gives 112PS power and 140Nm torque and the revolutionary EcoBoost. EcoSport engine churns out a power of 125PS and 170Nm torque, with a mileage of 18.9kmpl. The diesel variant of EcoSport is the most fuel-efficient among all models, delivering a mileage of 22.7kmpl.
