Rajinikanth's 2.0 (Enthiran/Robot 2.o) continued to keep the cash registers ringing at the worldwide box office on Wednesday. The makers claim that its collection has breached Rs 500 crore gross mark in seven days.

Having massive hype and expectations, 2.0 was released in over 5,000 screens across the globe on November 29. The movie was expected to open to humongous response, but it got an above average opening on Thursday. The word of mouth helped it remain strong on the following days.

Lyca Productions claimed that 2.0 crossed Rs 400 crore gross mark at the worldwide box office in the four-day-extended first weekend. The makers tweeted, "History in the making! 400 CRORES WORLDWIDE! Not just a blockbuster, it's a MEGA BLOCKBUSTER! #2Point0MegaBlockbuster #2Point0 @rajinikanth @akshaykumar @shankarshanmugh @iamAmyJackson @arrahman (sic)"

As is the usual trend, the Shankar-directed sci-fi action thriller witnessed a drop in its collection on Monday, but its business was better than regular trends compared to other films. 2.0 remained rock-steady and made decent collection at the ticket counters across the globe on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Lyca Productions tweeted this morning, "Surging Into Week 2.. Crossing Borders.. Redefining History. #2Point0 Enters the 500 Crore Club! #2Point0EpicBlockbuster #2Point0 @2Point0movie @rajinikanth @akshaykumar @shankarshanmugh @arrahman @iamAmyJackson (sic)"

However, the makers have not revealed its area-wise numbers. As per our estimates, 2.0 has collected over Rs 170 crore gross in North India, Rs 70 crore gross in Tamil Nadu, Rs 65 crore in the Telugu states, Rs 25 crore in Karnataka, Rs 14 crore gross in Kerala, Rs 115 crore gross in the international markets.

The movie 2.0 has collected over Rs 460 crore gross at the worldwide box office in seven days and these numbers are based on the reported screens. The question on whether it has really crossed Rs 500 crore gross mark in the global market will be answered, when the makers reveal its area-wise collection.
