Shankar's movie 2.0 starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar has registered massive advance booking for the first day in Hyderabad and it is set to get an earth-shattering opening at the box office.
Rajinikanth, Shankar and Akshay Kumar boast huge number of fans for themselves in the Telugu states especially in Hyderabad, where their film 2.0 is a highly-awaited movie. This science fiction action film is slated to hit the screens on November 29. A day ahead of its release, the movie has registered a record advance booking for the first day with some screens already sold out, according to BookMyShow (BMS).
The movie 2.0 released in two formats like 2D and 3D in three languages like Telugu, Tamil and Hindi in Hyderabad. The film will have 915 shows in 174 in the city on its opening day and the Telugu version will have major share in these states. The number is likely to go up as it nears its release.
The advance booking for 2.0 began in the city on Sunday and as of at 12 PM on Wednesday, tickets for 218 shows have already been sold out. Its Telugu version has received a mind-blowing response. All the existing shows are likely to be sold out by the end of the day and the exhibitors are expected to increase its show/screen count based on the demand.
But the response is not same for the Tamil and Hindi versions of 2.0. Some shows are fast filling, while the remaining cinema halls witnessed average booking, as per BMS.
As per early trends, 2.0 is expected to collect over Rs 7 crore gross at the Hyderabad box office on the first day of its release. The movie is likely to beat the opening record of Baahubali 2.
