Actor Arya has recently undergone a surgery for an injury that he sustained while playing at the celebrity Cricket League (CCL) a few years ago.

Doctors had asked the actor to get the precautionary surgery done to avoid complication in the future. However, he has delayed the procedure owing to his film commitments, reported Indiaglitz.

Now that the actor has completed his work on two big budget films, he successfully underwent the surgery. Doctors have advised him to take rest, and the actor might begin work on his next projects after a short break.

Arya's "Arrambam", co-starring Ajith and Nayanthara, released in theatres on 31 October. The film is garnering positive reviews from critics as well as fans. Despite releasing on a weekday (Thursday), "Arrambam" has registered good occupancy in theatres thanks to Ajith's star power.

Arya is reportedly playing the role of a hacker who helps Ajith in a mission. The film directed by Vishnu Vardhan is deemed as a stylish, action-packed entertainer.

Apart from "Arrambam", Arya will have another release this year. His "Irandam Ulagam", a fantasy thriller directed by Selvaraghavan, will hit the screens on 22 November. Arya has been paired with Anushka Shetty for the first time. The film is also expected to make a good opening at the box office upon its release.

With "Arrambam" and "Irandam Ulagam" wrapped up, the actor has committed to star in a couple of projects next year.
