Mumbai, March 07 (ANI): Just weeks before INS Kolkata (officially called Yard 701), was to be commissioned, the warship was hit by an accident at the Mazgoan Dockyard in Mumbai on Friday. A naval officer was killed and two others were injured in the accident. The warship was undergoing fitments and trials when the mishap occurred in its engine room. The officer who perished was identified as Commander Kuntal Wadhwa. According to reports, the accident took place due to a malfunction in the warship's carbon dioxide unit, leading to gas leakage during machinery trials.
