It's been a week since Xiaomi introduced the new feature-rich budget smartphone Redmi 2 in India and the phone will now be available via flash sale on 24 March.

The company's official e-commerce partner Flipkart will host the Redmi 2 flash sale on Tuesday at 2:00 pm. The online store, probably anticipating huge traffic on Tuesday afternoon, has rescheduled Xiaomi Mi4 (64GB) sale from the regular 2:00 pm time-slot to 5:00 pm.

The company is yet to reveal how many units will be up for grabs, but prospective buyers of Redmi 2 and Mi4 (64GB) are advised to get registered at Flipkart [HERE]; the registration window will close on 23 March at 11:59 pm. 

Besides Xiaomi Mi4 and Redmi 2 flash sale, the company will also be offering its flagship tablet Mi Pad via open sale. People need not register for the Xiaomi slate; consumers can directly get their hands on the device right off the Flipkart shelf.

For the past few weeks, Xiaomi has been selling Redmi Note 4G and Mi4 (16GB) models through open sale business model.
