Music is that one thing which unites everyone around the world, transcending region, religion, culture and language. Now taking this theory to a whole new level is Vh1 Relay, which will be aired on World Music Day 2016, June 21.

Moving away from the prototypical ways of celebrating music, Vh1 has lined up a playlist of over 200 popular tracks and none of which will be repeated for this Tuesday. Starting at 6 am (IST), this playlist will take Vh1 viewers through an interesting and bizarre journey that shows connections between musicians far and wide.

The idea for this music relay comes from the theory that everyone is connected to each other by the sixth degree. This is a literal interpretation of friend of a friend in the musical format. Here is an example of the theory with Queen to One Direction:

QUEEN- "Bohemian Rhapsody" - First official music video released in 1975

Lady Gaga- "You and I" - Sampled Queen track "We Will Rock You"

Mark Ronson - "Uptown Funk" - Mark Ronson is producing Lady Gaga's new album

Beyoncé - "Run The World" - performed with Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars for Superbowl this year

Major Lazer - "Lean Pn" - Beyoncé Sampled Major Lazer track "Pon De Floor"
