Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs stepped foot in India on Wednesday morning for the first time ever as they get ready to ply their trade in Premier Futsal 2016, scheduled for a start on Friday. The Manchester United legends landed at the Chennai airport and were given a warm reception.

While Scholes will be playing for the Bengaluru side in Premier Futsal in India, Giggs will  play for the Mumbai franchise.

Here is the list of marquee players and their teams.

Around 150 members from the Manchester United fanclub -- MUFC Chennai -- welcomed the terrific duo at the Chennai international airport where they touched down at 9 a.m. on Tuesday. Giggs, 42, has won 13 English Premier League titles with the Red Devils, while Scholes, 41, has won 11 Premier League crowns.

Meanwhile, Brazil football legend Ronaldinho, who is regarded as one of the greatest wizards of dribbling, also sent a message to all the Indian football fans, ahead of his arrival. The 36-year-old former Barcelona superstar had arrived in the country earlier this year when he came down to inaugurate the Sait Nagjee Football tournament in Kerala.

Ronaldinho lifted the FIFA World Cup with the Selecao in 2002 and his club honours with Barcelona include two La Liga titles and one Champions League crown.
