Season 4 of "Ray Donovan" has been darker than ever before, but it also seems to have brought Ray (Liev Schreiber) and his father Mickey (Jon Voight) closer together. For the first time in a long time, we see them working together to find a solution to the Donovan problems.
Albeit, it was to protect Mickey that Ray braved the wrath of the Russians, but the senior Donovan seems to have come through for his kids. However, Mickey's sacrifice seems to have been for nothing, since the Russians do not consider his confessions worthy of anything unless Belikov (Pasha D. Lychnikoff) is allowed to be a free man.
The synopsis for Season 4 episode 7 of "Ray Donovan" titled "Norman Saves the World" reads: "Ray has a confrontation with a Hollywood agent and a former fixer; without the protection of the Russians, Ray helps Mickey secure his own safety."

It is also understood that an old scandal that was buried up a long time ago will give Ray some unexpected information that will hopefully work in his favour. It looks like the Hollywood agent is the bearer of this news.
Meanwhile, we see the Donovan Fite Club seeing the glory days, with Hector (Ismael Cruz Cordova) asking Terry (Eddie Marsan) to use it as his personal gym. Hector offers to cover all the cost during the time he uses the Club and even gets it free press by holding interviews there. It remains to be seen what new drama comes along as part of the close association with Hector will bring to the Donovans
