After blockbuster movie "Pathemari" in 2015, Malayalam megastar Mammootty is all set to enthral the audience with his first release of 2016. The makers of "Puthiya Niyamam" released the first teaser of the Mammootty-Nayantara starrer on Jan. 29. The official trailer of the Mammootty starrer was released on Feb. 10.
Looking at the trailer, the movie looks promising with many suspense elements in it. The film is expected to a family thriller and the trailer also gives some insights on a crime that is committed by a female.
Meanwhile, in the teaser, Mammootty is seen reviewing a new gen film "Iruthala Moori - a Kumbalangi Love Story" and and an old gen movie "Mulla Poo Viplavam" on a TV show called "Kathrika". He is seen speaking in a tone that is particular to the Thrissur region.
In the movie directed by AK Sajan of "Red Chillies" fame, Mammootty plays the role of Advocate Louis Pothen with communist leanings and Nayantara is seen as his wife Vasuki Iyer. The couple belong to different religions and the film marks their comeback after "Bhaskar The Rascal", "Rappakal" and "Thaskaraveeran".
The movie, which was initially titled "Solomonte Koodaram", also has Rachana Narayanankutty (as Kanimani), Sheelu Abraham (as Jeena Bhai IPS), Baby Ananya (as Chintha), Aju Varghese, Vinay Forrt, Jayaraj Warrier and SN Swami in pivotal roles.
While Vinu Thomas has composed the music, Rafeeq Ahamed has penned the lyrics of the songs in "Puthiya Niyamam". The film, which is 2 hour 13 minutes long, was censored with U/A certificate on 24 January. The family entertainer, being produced by P Venugopal and Geo Abraham, will be released on 12 February.
