After horror comedy entertainer Pretham, Kerala audience are now waiting for the release of Prithviraj Sukumaran's Ezra. The makers of the horror thriller released the trailer of the movie on Sunday, November 12.

The teaser that features Prithviraj and Priya Anand, among others, gives a glimpse on what to expect from the directorial venture of Jayakrishnan aka Jay K. The 50-second teaser has been receiving positive response from the audience, and has been now viewed more than 2 Lakh views in less than a day of its release. It has also become one of the top trending videos on YouTube India.

The upcoming movie has been making headlines since it started rolling for all the spooky incidents that happened during shooting. Earlier, reports had it that the team of Ezra had been witnessing some mysterious things happening in the sets, following which a priest was called to bless the "haunted" location. According to reports, the team of Ezra had witnessed electricity connection issues after which the generator stopped working and costly cameras were damaged.

Actress Priya, who is making her acting debut in Malayalam, had also shared about the unexpected events that they experienced while filming Ezra. "With all the inexplicable things happening on sets of #Ezra ... We were fortunate to visit the Chottanikkara Temple [sic]," the actress wrote while sharing a photo on her Instagram page.

Ezra is the second project of Prithviraj in the genre of horror movies after Vinayan's comedy horror entertainer Vellinakshathram in 2004. Expectations are sky high from the film as Prithviraj has been basking in the success of back-to-back successful projects this year. The upcoming movie has been bankrolled by Mukesh R Mehta and will be released under the banner of E4 Entertainment.

The Prithviraj-starrer is scheduled to hit the theatres as a Christmas release in December. It will be locking horns with Mammootty-starrer The Great Father and Mohanlal's Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbo, among other biggies.
