The first half of Season 7 of The Walking Dead ended on another minor cliffhanger that showed a person spying on Alexandria. The identity of the person wasn't revealed and according to a popular theory, the person could have been a member of The Whisperers, yet another community of survivors featured in The Walking Dead comics by Robert Kirkman.

Warning: This post contains spoilers from the upcoming episodes of The Walking Dead.

But according to TSDF Army, a trusted The Walking Dead spoiler forum, the man belongs to the new junkyard gang that will be featured in the second half of the season.

"Rick, Michonne, Tara, Aaron, and Rosita will encounter the 'Garbage Pail Kids' [as the new community is now known] in episode 9, presumably at the end of the episode. They end up venturing to the GPK's community at a junkyard in episode 10," noted TSDF Army. The second half will also see Father Gabriel in the new community, but it is not immediately known if he is kidnapped by one of its members or if he goes there willingly.

The new group is not featured in The Walking Dead comics, and according to the spoiler forum, they might not help Rick and gang in their fight against Negan. It looks like Negan will charm them on to his side.

Based on a casting call that was released in the summer, the leader of the junkyard gang is a person named Brion.

"Brion is an educated, pokerfaced leader who has a superior air and does not let his/her motives be known. Brion uses as few words as possible and keeps his/her emotions in check – we do see amusement, annoyance, displeasure – Brion just doesn't wear their emotions on their sleeve; he/she is confident, quiet, and chiefly concerned with how anything may benefit him/her and those he/she knows…" the casting notice reads.

The Walking Dead will return to AMC in February.
