Fans are unanimous in their assertion that Sunday's episode of AMC's "The Walking Dead" was by far the best of season 5, despite the deaths of Noah and Aiden.

Noah, the character essayed by Tyler James Williams, was not on the show that long for fans to feel devastated by his death. But many expected him to survive a bit longer, considering Beth gave up her life to keep Noah alive.

Noah's story arc was tragic, but what's more saddening is that he died just as he expressed a desire to stick around for the long haul.

As "The Walking Dead" fans know, season 5 midseason finale saw Noah going back to the hospital to rescue Beth, but she gets shot when she attempts to strike a deal with Officer Dawn to let Noah go. Later, Noah finds out that his family is gone and Tyreese tries to console him with a pep talk. But then Tyreese dies. And Sunday's episode saw Noah getting his face ripped by a walker due to no fault of his own.

Is Noah's season 5's last casualty? Not if fans get their wish.

A good number of fans want Father Gabriel to die, especially after he turned on Rick and company on "Spend" where he tells Deanna that Rick and gang will only bring destruction to Alexandria Safe Zone.

"I'm grateful to be here. I am. But you made a mistake letting in the others. Rick…his group…they're not good people. They've done things. They've done unspeakable things."

Understandably, fans are outraged by Father Gabriel's betrayal, and they don't see the character making it through to the next season, especially since Maggie heard what Gabriel had to say about them.

It remains to be seen if fans will get their wish, as Father Gabriel is still alive in the comics.
