Gumla / Kandhamal /Gaya / Gadchiroli, April1 10 (ANI): Braving the outlawed rebels, people in Maoist-hit areas came out and voted as third phase of general election began on Thursday. Security forces have stepped up measures to protect voters. Security personnel and police officials manned polling booths in Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar and Maharashtra. Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), also ensured smooth elections and encouraged more and more number of voters to participate in world’s biggest elections. Voters lined up outside polling booths, who were waiting for their turn, to vote eagerly. Attacks in Maoist inflicted states increase before every election season, as the rebels are against the democratic exercise.
