Chinese smartphone maker Vivo Electronics officially unveiled much awaited X5 Max on Wednesday, 10 December.
The main USP of Vivo X5 Max is that it measures just 4.75mm, making it the world's thinnest smartphone market.
Other stipulated features include, 5.5-inch super AMOLED full HD display, Android 4.4.4 KitKat (with FunTouch v2.0 UI), 64-bit based Snapdragon 615 Octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 128GB) and a 2,000mAh battery.
Vivo X5 Max Price and Availability Details:
The new ultra-slim Vivo X5 Max is said to hit Chinese market initially on 22 December for ¥2,998 (around $486/€392/₹30,100) and later in other markets including India.
The company has already sent out media invites for official India launch on 15 December. Price and availability details of X5 Max is expected to be revealed next week.
With the debut of X5 Max, Vivo becomes the sixth prominent Chinese player to set foot in India after Lenovo, ZTE, Gionee, Xiaomi and OnePlus.
It has to be noted that Vivo is also credited for launching the world's first QHD (aka 2K: 2,560x1,440p) display-based smartphone Xplay 3S. It was launched exactly a year ago, much before like Oppo, LG, and Samsung unveiled their flagship devices in 2014.
