The audio launch of Shanthnu Bhagyaraj's upcoming film "Vaaimai" took place in Chennai on Tuesday, 5 May 2015.

Shanthnu's mother Poornima, Tamizhini and Satyalakshmi started off the event by lighting the traditional lamp.

Director AR Murugadoss, Pandiarajan, G. Dhananjayan, Priya, Karthik Subbaraj, Power Star Srinivasan also graced the function.

Delivering his welcome speech, Shanthanu thanked the guests who arrived for the function, even though many were invited via phone.

Shanthnu mentioned that he was afraid to do the lead role in "Vaaimai" and added that he learnt a lot from comedian Goundamani, who is making a comeback in the upcoming film.

Murugadoss released the film's first audio CD to director Priya.

During the event, Poornima said, "I am speechless today as im witnessing different Shanthnu."

"I am proud of this moment and I would like to thank all the co-artistes of the movie," Shanthnu's father Bhagyaraj said.

Directed by Senthil Kumar, "Vaaimai" also has Thyagarajan, Ramki, Urvashi, Manoj K. Bharathi and Poornima Bhagyaraj in pivotal roles.

Celebs and stars who attended the event, appreciated Senthil for the upcoming film.
